About Jason Narog
Hi, my name’s Jason Narog and I’ve been designing websites for the past 11 years. My first paid web job was at the age of 15 years old where I acted as the techie for a local company. My job tasks were maintaining the website and creating the Word and Excel documents.
My first website ever was a fan site dedicated to former professional wrestler The Sandman. The webmaster of Chris Kanyon dot com gave me my first sub-domain, as prior to that all my websites were run on Geocities, Tripod, Xoom, and several other free services.
In 2004 I played poker and did weed abatement during fire season to pay for my tobacco fast food habits. I also started my own company and learned everything I could about “drop-shipping.” I quickly learned that the companies I was going through for drop-shipping were pricing me out of selling anything on E-bay.
In 2005 I purchased my first domain ever Poker money clips dot com – Home of the Royal Flush of Spades Poker Money Clip, a product that I had created per my specifications. When it was first released I retailed it for $23. Today it’s available for $17.
I met Matt Bacak, Armand Morin, Stephen Pierce, Alex Mandossian, and a few other big internet marketers in 2006. The seminar was great as I was able to sit with them and ask questions on how to grow my business. After the seminar I went out and purchased several websites, then fell victim to the “Fox” concept that Mike Filsaime speaks of. The Fox concept is running too many projects all at the same time. The trick to growing a business is starting and finishing one project at a time, a lesson I have since learned.
In 2007 I switched my focus away from poker to the growing drug rehab business. I started marketing rehab programs. In 2008 I received a Commendation for my hard work and dedication. I also spoke with Mark Vurnum on the phone about lead generation and how to capture more leads for the rehab business.
During the course of 2009 I went into business for myself managing websites for any company that came along. I took on several projects at the same time and began to burn myself out. I reopened Poker Money Clips dot com after a two year hiatus in October and began work on Free Texas Holdem Secrets, a website I had first started back in 06, then abandoned in 07. As my main focus has become helping people Free Texas Holdem Secrets as well as How To Build A Poker Web Site were both created to provide individuals looking to learn with free information. How To Build A Poker Web Site provides step by step instructions on how to go from no design experience to being able to run and maintain their own website. Web design is still a growing business, and I want to give anyone who wants it the tools to design websites not only for themselves but for others as well. Together we can bring the art of web design back to the United States.
